Home fitness equipment and daily healthy regiments.
Thanks to gym closing, we are back to doing our exercise at home. That means we need equipment for our workout. The list below will change from time to time, because we find something better or, say, after a time the equipment turns out to be a bust. While not all of the links direct you to Amazon, those that are will earn me some sweat money from typing it out, if you make a purchase.
Do you know Andy and I have been drinking Shakeology for over 10 years?
WORKOUT
Workout Program:
Beachbody On Demand - We stream workout videos for our daily workout. Our favorite programs are INSANITY, T25, 10ROUNDS, LIIFT4, PIYO, Shaun Week, oh and check out TURBO FIRE and see if you could spot me in the videos :)
Our Workouts on YouTube - Right now, you will see yoga and stretching videos in the playlist. Also take a peek at what's going on in the livingroom on weekdays during our workout.
Equipment:
Large Exercise Mat (4' x 6') - to protect the floor from weights, create cushion for impact workout, non slip. At home, we have two, one for each of us.
Adjustable Dumbbells (25 lbs max each) - Andy uses these for our workout. With any other adjustable weights, it takes some getting used to adjusting the weights. So far, it works. Will keep posted on the durability of the mechanism.
Powerblocks Adjustable Dumbbells (24 lbs max each) - I use these, because it is compact. Again, weights adjustment takes time to get used to. Eventually I found a way to switch weights relatively fast.
Resistance Loops - After using it in 10 Rounds program, Andy continues using it to warm up upper body. I love it as stretching tool (as shown in this video: 3-exercise to improve flexibility)
Self Care:
Tiger Tail Massage Ball - After we used it, most of our gym friends are using it too! It works to massage large muscle groups - i.e. da glutes!
Naipo Neck Massager - We never store it away! Mom and my cousin also got one handy at their homes. Love it coz we can adjust the pressure and speed.
Foam Roller (smooth, 24") - We called this beginner rollers :) But we still use it until now anyways.
Foam Rollers (ridges, 13") - When the workout gets more intense, the roller gets more serious! The ridges get in deeper into the muscle tissues. This can't beat personal massage, but hey, we do what we can on the daily at home and it helps.
SUPPLEMENTS
Shakeology - Our daily nutrients supplement. We have been drinking Shakeology since 2010. Why? Because it works, most importantly, it is DELISH! See how Andy prep our Shakeology (vegan option available).
Energize - Pre workout (plant based). Mixed Berry or Lemon? You decide which is your favorite :)
Hydrate - During workout hydration (plant based). Psst, we mixed in some Energize into this too.
Recover - Post workout
Recharge - Post workout (overnight)
CBD Isolate Tincture - Muscle soreness. For other options: Papercranehemp.com
Zeng Gu Shui - Reduce inflammation, soreness and bruises. You can also find this in a local Asian market :)
